BRICS Joint Statistical Publication is issued on an annual basis since 2010 for the purpose of informational support at BRICS Summits. Publication is made up of 15 chapters, each containing aggregated table with basic comparable data as well as tables with more comprehensive statistical data from each country.
Due to BRICS chairmanship of the Russian Federation in 2020 Rosstat is responsible for this year statistical publication.
On the 8th of April 2020 a videoconference took place in Rosstat headquarters in Moscow. The following were covered by participants:
- Chapters’ design and contents;
- Extending the range of indicators related to macroeconomics, finance and environment;
- Data submission calendar.
